Bet on Zero Podcast, new episode

[ad_1]

Burke Koonce and John Fichthorn discuss the latest topics of interest relating to politics, financial markets and the cultural forces that shape the world around us. This is the second episode of season 2!

John, who appears regularly on financial news networks and Burke, who runs Capitalism Maven for TheStreet.com, have a long history of discussing contemporary markets, politics and topics. These discussions sometimes turn into films such as Bet on zero.

In this episode, we start with a discussion of China and its faltering real estate markets and what that could mean for the Chinese stock markets and beyond. Now that Evergrande is mostly under administration by the Chinese government, are the problems resolved or are they just beginning?

Our discussion of China leads to a discussion of commodity prices and their direction, which naturally fuels a discussion of inflation. Has the Fed just crushed inflationary pressures or will it need to do a lot more?

Finally, we take a look at the ongoing memes stock implosion and we talk about this country’s desperate need to improve the way it teaches its citizens to invest, which it is.

We are really happy to be back with this super fun and interesting episode. We hope you enjoy it.

John Fichthorn is a member of the board of directors of Maven, which owns TheStreet.com and other media properties. Burke Koonce is an Investment Strategist at Trust Company of the South. The opinions are theirs. No investment advice.
