Bet on zero, holiday episode

[ad_1]

Burke Koonce and John Fichthorn discuss the latest topics of interest relating to politics, financial markets and the cultural forces that shape the world around us. This is the third episode of season 2!

John, who appears regularly on financial news networks and Burke, who runs Capitalism Maven for TheStreet.com, have a long history of discussing contemporary markets, politics and topics. These discussions sometimes turn into films such as Bet on zero.

In this episode, a little shorter than some in the holiday spirit, we start by complaining about the holiday spirit. John reveals what he thinks of Ebenezer Scrooge (one wonders!) And that of course gives way to a discussion of vacation stress and anxiety, despite and in some cases because of modern technology. Speaking of tech and Scrooge, we have a quick chat about the recent performance of the broad tech sector and small caps in financial markets and what that could portend for the next year.

Like most economic talk these days, we get to talking about inflation versus deflation and what everyone thinks about it from JP Morgan to hoagie makers in Brooklyn.

This is a great little pre-vacation episode. If you are looking for a little holiday cheer, this is a great place to find some. We hope you enjoy it and have a wonderful holiday season.
